In keeping with our surroundings we offer a variety of Pub Classic dishes, enhanced by dishes with their roots further afield, our continually changing Daily Specials as well as our tasty Bar Snacks. We now serve Weekend Breakfast between 10am and 11.45am every Saturday and Sunday. We take enormous trouble to use the best ingredients from local suppliers and produce almost everything we serve in-house.

Our menu for Autumn 2018, features Pub Classics which include favourites for everyone. Some of our most popular colder weather dishes are featured, including daily home made pies and steaks as well as some tasty vegetarian and vegan alternatives. We work closely with our suppliers to produce our continually changing Daily Specials on the Specials Board and on Sundays we serve our delicious Traditional Sunday Roasts between 12 and 3.00pm. During weekday lunchtimes we offer a Set Menu at £12 for two courses and every other Tuesday evening is Steak Night at The Old Black Horse: make your choice of Steak, Side and Sauce, as well as a pint of beer or glass of wine for only £25.00 for two people. We strongly advise booking for Friday and Saturday evenings, Sunday lunches and Steak Night to avoid disappointment. Our Christmas Party Menu will be available from 30th November to 30th December, for parties pre-ordering and will be the only menu available for parties of 10 or more people from 7th December onwards. Otherwise throughout December, we will be serving our Pub Classics Dinner and Lunch Menus.
We work closely with local and regional suppliers to source the best possible, seasonal ingredients for use in our home-prepared and cooked food. We are in daily contact with our fresh food suppliers so that we can serve the best-value freshest ingredients possible, for example, our Fishmonger, Direct Seafoods will let us know when our favourite crabmeat comes in, or when the new season's fish is available so that we can offer continually changing, fresh fish specials. Our Butcher, Price and Fretwell provides 30 day aged beef for our Sunday Roast Striploin, as well as advising their best prices on each ingredient so that we can offer our customers the best condition, best value Daily Steaks and Daily Specials. At the bar we serve Rutland Charcuterie Salamis and Biltong, which are full of flavour and a complete range of fabulous Corkers potato crisps, as well as their delicious vegetable crisps. Corkers have been growing potatoes in Cambridgeshire since the 1800s and now produce the crisps themselves. Try them and taste the difference.
